Monika has lived in Marrakech for more than a decade now. Her passion for healthy lifestyle, helping people, and organic food has inspired her to create a wonderful place in the heart of Gueliz, the French district of the noisy city of Marrakech.
Monika, just like me, is a Polish blogger based in Morocco. We have the same name, we share the same strange love for the crazy country of Morocco, we come from the same country, and both love good food. Whenever I am in Marrakech, I do my best to drop by and catch up with her and visit Ayaso.
I love the food they serve – they develop their own recipes, and give a vegan touch to the traditional Moroccan dishes. Monika believes that
“You are what you eat”
and that is why she personally makes sure that the food that is served in her concept store is unique, delicious, good for your body and soul.

Ayaso is more than just a restaurant
Ayaso is a place like no other. Apart from serving delicious and healthy food, it also has a beautiful concept behind. All the ingredients used to prepare the food come from fair-trade, organic farms and from the local suppliers. Monika, the founder of Ayaso and also a wonderful soul, always makes sure to advice her guests about their diet and health. When last time my bestie and I came to Ayaso for dinner, we were suffering from cold, fever, and upset stomach. Monika knew what would be the best cure for us! She stuffed us with her magical remedies, garlic, olive oil, energy shots, and thyme tea.
But that is not all.
Ayaso is also a place where yo can organize or attend conferences and workshops – everything related to healthy lifestyle! There is some cozy space with lots of places to sit comfortably.
As you leave the store, you can stock up on natural cosmetics and delicious, organic foods that the shelves are stuffed with.
How to get to Ayaso concept store?
It is located in the heart of Gueliz, the modern district of Marrakech. Perfect place if you want to rest from the hectic Jamaa el Fnaa, and touristy attractions.
The address is 6 boulevard Zerktouni, just near Cinéma Colisée. It is around 4 km from the main square, you can walk or take a taxi. Read my taxi survival kit to take the taxi painlessly :)
Ah, you can pay with Bitcoins!
