You know what constantly amazes me about Morocco? Just when you think you've seen it all, this incredible country surprises you with something new. Today, I'm excited to share one of my favorite discoveries - Morocco's amazing animal parks and wildlife sanctuaries that offer unique experiences for families.
Why Visit Animal Parks in Morocco?
Morocco's relationship with wildlife is fascinating. While many native species like the Atlas lion once roamed freely, today these parks play a crucial role in conservation and education. They offer families a chance to connect with Morocco's natural heritage while creating unforgettable memories.
1. Rabat Zoo: Home of the Atlas Lions
If you're in Rabat, this should be at the top of your family's must-visit list. The National Zoological Garden houses around 2,000 animals across 190 species, but what makes it truly special is its collection of Atlas lions. With approximately 22 of these majestic creatures, it's one of the few places where you can see these extinct-in-the-wild animals.
