4 Must-Try Cafes in Rabat: A Local’s Guide to the Best Coffee Spots

Looking for the perfect spot to enjoy your coffee in Rabat? As someone who's spent countless hours exploring the city's café scene, I'm excited to share some of my favorite hidden gems and trendy spots that'll satisfy both your caffeine cravings and your sweet tooth! 🍰☕

Villa Mandarine: A Peaceful Green Oasis

Nestled in a tranquil setting, Villa Mandarine offers more than just your average café experience. The verdant terrace creates the perfect backdrop for a peaceful coffee break. During my recent visit, I couldn't resist trying their homemade brownie (absolutely divine!) and their house cake. The best part? Your drink will only set you back 50 dirhams, making it a reasonable spot for a luxurious escape.

Yaha Harhoura: Sweet Treats Paradise

If you're anything like me and have a weakness for sweet treats, Yaha Harhoura needs to be on your radar! This combination of restaurant, café, and ice cream parlor is a dessert lover's dream. Their pistachio crêpe (60 dirhams) is a must-try – delightfully indulgent and generously sweet. With so many options on the menu, I'm already planning my next visit to explore more of their tempting treats!

Lamjerred Boutique Prestigia: The Trendy Hotspot

As Rabat's newest "it" spot, expect this place to be bustling, especially in the afternoons. My taste-testing adventure here included their brioche and an excellent brownie. A word of caution about the pistachio crêpe though – the chocolate overpowered the pistachio flavor, and it was a tad too sweet for my liking. The carrot cake's frosting didn't quite hit the mark either, but hey, that's just my personal taste!

Azur Centre-Ville: Rooftop Views

For those Instagram-worthy moments, head to Azur Centre-Ville. The rooftop setting offers beautiful views of Rabat that'll make your coffee experience even more special. Just keep in mind that while the ambiance is fantastic, the service might not always match the views. But sometimes, a stunning setting makes up for minor inconveniences, right?

Pro Tip: For the best experience, try to visit Villa Mandarine or Yaha Harhoura during weekday mornings when they're less crowded. Trust me, your peaceful coffee moment will thank you!
