Lots of my readers ask me about riads in The Red City that I could recommend. There are thousands of riads in the medina and I visited only maybe something above 50. I Have a couple of places I loved and I like to book again. Here is the list from very cheap ones to the more luxurious ones.
Cheap Hotels and Riads
Hotel Cecil
In the very centre of Jamaa el Fnaa. Perfect location if you have a trip in the morning and donât want to get lost. Rooms are clean, staff are super nice. Itâs a low budget hotel so donât expect anything âwowâ. Breakfast is included, but is somewhat like hostel breakfasts â nothing really special.
Hotel Aday
One minute walk from Jamaa el Fnaa. Perfect for one night. Itâs super cheap (I once booked it for 16 EUR for a double room). Bathrooms are shared, rooms are ok, but some donât have windows and it can be really annoying for some people. I book it when I have to sleep for couple of hours and leave quick.
Riad Hotel Sherazade
Quite a big hotel just near hotel Aday, 3min walk from the main square. Very nice interiors and lovely breakfast with homemade jams and wide variety of pancakes. Itâs a good choice for budget travellers who travel in groups â lots of nice rooms to choose from.
Average price
riad mariana
I really like the owner, Philippe, and his cat! They make the ambience of the place and it feels like home. Rooms are clean and simple. The riad is located 10 min walk from the main square and the road is quite easy and straight forward. Breakfast is typically French style: baguette with jam and coffee.
Riad Aladdin
one of the most beautiful riads I have ever been to. Quite big, centrally located close to restaurants and shops in the medina. Nice staff and very good food. Itâs usually fully booked so you should book it well in advance.
Slightly more luxury ones
Riad Camilia
Beautiful riad ran by a great and super friendly manager, Nico. The interior of this riad is wow. I loved the inner, private patio of the room we stayed in and the big bathtube with a view overlooking the patio (see the main photo of this article). Itâs located in the less touristy part of the medina, around 15min walk to Jamaa el Fnaa. The breakfast is really good: wide variety of Moroccan delicacies.
Riad Altair
Very beautiful, intimate and clean riad located a bit out of the media. It overlooks the new and the old city. The service is very good and food is splendid. It is perfect for couples and travellers who need peace.

Wow! Fantastic places to live in Morocco and this what I am looking for on the internet somehow landed in the right place. Actually, I and my husband is planning to visit Morrocco but we were confused about where we can go that’s why was searching on the internet and Thank God, we found your this page.
